Wilmington River Apiary VSH Italian queens are carefully monitored and only robust queens with solid brood patterns are ever shipped to our customers.
Open Mated VSH Queen
All of my Open Mated VSH Queen come clipped and marked with a dot of paint on her thorax. The standard International marking for 2019 is green.
(For an up charge of $5.00 I can attach numbered green disc to each queen. Please call for this service)
First of all I won't ship queens if the weather is too extreme.
I want you to tell everybody what a great queen you got from me.
Unfortunatly Shippers do not insure live product!
So it is up to you and me to get the queens to you as quickly and safely as possible. Once the queens arrive, you assume responsibilty for proper handling and timely introduction into their new hive.
Just as soon as the queens are delivered, it is your responsibility to inspect them to confirm live delivery.
In the unlikely event there is an issue with your queens, it is your responsibility to contact me by phone as soon as possible to discuss replacement of any nonviable queen. You must retain verifiable proof of the exact time you received the queen package from the shipper.
Replacement of queens will be done one time only. The customer is responsible for shipping costs related to replacement of queens.
Your queen will arrive in a J/ZBZ plastic cage with queen candy plug and
5-7 attendant worker bees. The individual queen cages are secured in their ventlated shipping box. The Wilmington River Apiary ships through the UPS for those zip codes where delivery occurrs within 1-2 days from our Savannah location. The box with your queens will be marked to be held at your UPS service store, and they will give you a call at the number that you specify to alert you to come and pick them up. You need to pick queens up the day that they call you so the queens survive. The Wilmington River Apiary LLC is not responsible for any queens that are not picked up in a timely manor.
